From Fad Diet Queen to Feeling Fabulous
If there was a fad diet in the early 2000s, I tried it. Cabbage soup? Done it. Grapefruit-only? Unfortunately, yes. My teens and twenties were a blur of disordered eating and hoping the next “miracle” would stick. Spoiler alert: none of them did. After having my second baby at 35, I hit my highest weight—264 pounds—and by 40, I knew something had to give (besides the elastic in my leggings).
I had gastric sleeve surgery and dropped a significant amount of weight, but something was still off. I didn’t feel like me. That’s when I was introduced to the magical world of GLP-1s—and later, the real MVPs: peptides.
Fast forward to today: I’m down to 150 pounds, my skin is glowing, I sleep like a baby (the kind that actually sleeps), and I’m breezing through perimenopause like it’s a spa day. I’m currently on GLP-1 + GIP + glucagon, along with a custom stack of peptides that make me feel like I’ve hacked my own biology.
